The first place for the proposal of 10000 CZK gold coin with the motif of the 100th anniversary of Foundation of Czechoslovakia in the prestigious competition of the Czech National Bank took Petr Horak MgA. The Bank Board, however, decided not to confirm the decision of the expert commission and chose another motive for the gold coin. It would be a pity if the modern work of Petr Horak was not realized, so it comes out in the form of a silver commemorative medal.

The dream of Czechs and Slovaks to emerge from the domination of Vienna and Budapest became true in October 1918. The Slovaks managed to tear the territory of Slovakia from Hungary and prevent the definitive end of national existence. And the Czechs have experienced the desired statehood restoration. Together, we have experienced both difficult and good time, and we remember with joy the fraternity for years despite the present autonomy.  Indeed, we still associate similar culture, languages ​​and thoughts that are the symbol of our eternal friendship.  We are proud of the existence of the first Czechoslovak Republic till nowadays. The state, which was found just a century ago, enabled not only our cultural rise, but also formed the foundations of democratic politics, which we separately or together continue to follow.
