Product description

medal commemorating sports legends that will not fade in time

Emil and Dana Zátopek, man and wife, were born on the same day in the same year (19 September 1922). Both of them also won a gold Olympic medal on the same day at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952. The legend has it that Dana Zátopek may have won her gold medal in the javelin throw also thanks to the great joy and euphoria she experienced at the moment. Because she went to the javelin finals just a few minutes after her husband Emil won the 5km race. Emil – the best world sportsman in 1949, 1950 and 1951
