Product description

Set of 2010 circulation coins proof

This circulation coin set in proof quality contains coins at face values of CZK 1, 2, 5, 10 and 50 in high lustre finish, and a commemorative silver medal featuring a motif of the CZK 5000-crown banknote.

A plaster copy of the medal was made by sculptor Vladimír Oppl, according to a design created by painter Oldřich Kulhánek. The obverse side of the medal bears an effigy of T. G. Masaryk flanked by linden tree branches on the left and right sides as a symbol of Slavism. The reverse side features a stylized fragment of the reverse side of the banknote depicting the best-known Prague monuments: Prague Castle, St. Nicholas Church and Powder Gate.

The set comes complete with a velvet folder bearing an inscription in Czech in gold lettering “Sada oběžných mincí České republiky 2010 – proof“ and the seal of the Czech Mint. Enclosed is a watermarked certificate of authenticity from Státní tiskárna cenin.
